Strivectin -SD – From Stretch Marks Solution to Anti-Wrinkle Cream?

Strivectin -SD Anti-Wrinkle Cream Overview

Strivectin -SD Anti-Wrinkle Cream

Although StriVectin -SD was originally created by Klein Becker to treat severe stretch marks, it has been clinically proven to dramatically reduce the visibility of wrinkles. An underground movement is said to have started when the employees of Klein Becker mistakenly used the stretch mark cream as face cream. Those using the cream began to see a decrease in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and crow’s feet. After clinical trials at a global convention in Paris proved the employees’ findings to be true, the effects of the cream began to spread by word of mouth. As a result, StriVectin has become one of America’s best-selling anti-aging creams and an international sensation. The success of StriVectin -SD has led to additional products in the line such as StriVectin –SD Eye Cream.

Product Details

StriVectin –SD Eye Cream has been clinically proven to reduce the length, depth, volume, and roughness of facial wrinkles over a two-month period. The clinical data shows that there were measurable results in 93% of the subjects tested. The ingredients in StriVectin®?SD improve the skin’s elasticity, texture and tone. One of the main components of StriVectin is Striadril, which is a blend of 18 key ingredients that includes patented pentapeptides. Striadril strengthens the skin’s collagen-rich structural network that brightens, hydrates, and protects the skin leading to improvements in the appearance of wrinkles, stretch marks and minor skin imperfections.

Other key ingredients include: Palmitoyl Pentapeptids used to stimulate collagen and support protein synthesis; Palmitoyl Oligopeptide restores elasticity and smoothness; Phyllantus Emblica brightens the skin and acts as an antioxidant; Darutosids stabilize collagen by inhibiting its breakdown; Moisture 24 hydrates the skin; Green Tea which soothes the skin; and Licorice Root Extract brightens the skin.

Usage

StriVectin -SD Eye Cream is made for all skin types and colors. For best results, the product should be applied twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, to clean dry skin. The product is proven to have effects on wrinkles regardless of the amount of time they have been present on the user’s skin. Even after the appearance of wrinkles has diminished, the ingredients in StriVectin ensure that the collagen will continually fight the effects of aging. Although the reduction of scars is not a primary function of StriVectin, the production of collagen may also help lessen the appearance of scars. It is not recommended to use StriVectin on open acne lesions.

Pros:

  1. The product was the favorite in a blind product study.
  2. It is safe to use on the entire face.

Cons:

  1. The price of StriVectin is very high for a small product container. The cost of a 1.3 oz tube of StriVectin –SD Eye Cream is $59.
  2. Unlike the all-natural ingredients of Organic Youth, StriVectin contains parabens which are an artificial preservative.

Recommendation

While StriVectin is very good and it is high-quality, it does not deliver quite as good results as Organic Youth which also costs less at ($47.95). StriVectin –SD contains parabens which are an artificial preservative. They can be found in many anti-wrinkle creams. Research shows that they have a possible link to cancer, endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity, neurotoxicity, and skin irritation. Organic Youth’s ingredients act as natural preservatives that give the products a two-year shelf life, and therefore the creators at Pure Personal Products do not need to use artificial chemical ingredients. Also, I tried organic Youth wrinkle cream with a Risk-Free Trial!

  1. Laurie Osborne says:

I tried Strivectin -SD, because I had heard such great things about it. It started to really irritate my skin after the first few days. Now that I’ve read about the effects that parabens can have, I’m really glad I stopped using it! I think I might try Organic Youth.

  2. Regina says:

I see that Strivectin –SD contains Glycols and PEG 1000 Stearate.

  3. Maggie Draper says:

It contains parabens as well. I read what you wrote in one of your posts about parabens and decided to look into them more because so many of these products have them. I found this link: http://www.fda.gov/Cosmetics/ProductandIngredientSafety/SelectedCosmeticIngredients/ucm128042.htm. It makes me very uncomfortable that there are still unanswered questions about how safe they are.
